Crystal 2 Coming of Darkness is a 2011 American 3D Computer-Animated Musical Romantic Fantasy Comedy Film produced by 20th Century Fox Animation for 20th Century Fox. It is a direct sequel to film Crystal (2008) and was written and directed by Mike Minchin from a screenplay by David Lindsay-Abaire, Joel Cohen, and Alec Sokolow with a story by Minchin, and stars reprised voices of Selena Gomez, Jesse Eisenberg, Jonah Hill, Whoopi Goldberg, Sam Elliott, with John Cleese, and Emily Blunt, along with new additions to cast including Scarlett Johansson, Josh Brolin, Jane Lynch, with Gary Oldman, and Alfred Molina.
Film premiere on October 30, 2011 in Hollywood, California, and was released in theaters in RealD 3D and IMAX on November 4, 2011. Like it predecessor, Coming Of Darkness received generally positive reviews, with critics praising it animation, voice act, songs, musical score and character development and grossed $657 million worldwide against it $109 million budget. Film was highest grossing animated feature film of year and was nominated for 2011 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at 84 Academy Awards.
A sequel, title Lost Realms, and directed by Kevin Lima, was released on May 29, 2015.

In US, it premiere on October 30, 2011, at Grauman Chinese Theatre, in Hollywood, California. Film was widely released in US on November 4, 2011, in UK on December 30, 2011, and in Australia on January 12, 2012. It was also released in IMAX 3D theaters.
A short animated film based on Puppet Pals Series title Camp Toby accompanied Coming of Darkness during it theatrical release.
