Synopsis[]

James Bond is back on his first animated feature-length 007 movie. Based on the Bond novel by John Gardner, Bond is assigned to investigate Dr. Anton Murik. Can 007 succeed in his first animated mission?

Plot[]

The film opens with a high-stakes MI6 operation in the United States, where James Bond is seen infiltrating a heavily guarded facility to retrieve sensitive documents related to nuclear reactor designs. The mission goes awry, leading to a thrilling chase sequence that showcases Bond's skills and his anthropomorphic Aston Martin car, the Bond-Mobile (also known as Bondem). Bond narrowly escapes with the documents, but a cryptic note referencing "Murcaldy" catches M's attention.

At MI6 headquarters, M briefs Bond about Dr. Anton Murik, a nuclear physicist expelled from the Atomic Energy Commission. Murik's controversial theories about nuclear power safety and his ties to international terrorists make him a prime suspect in a potential global catastrophe. Bond is given a cover identity as a rogue mercenary seeking employment and tasked with infiltrating Murik’s castle in Scotland. He is warned about Murik's bodyguard, Caber, a wrestling champion known for his strength and loyalty.

Bond's personal life outside of his spy career is explored, highlighting his struggles to balance family life with his dangerous profession. He lives in a luxurious London mansion with his wife, Jane Bond (née Moneypenny), and their children, Edward and Lily. Despite his dangerous lifestyle, Bond is a devoted husband and father who loves spending time with his family.

Bond arrives at Murik's castle under the guise of a mercenary and quickly gains Murik's trust by demonstrating his skills. During a dinner party at the castle, Bond meets Lavender Peacock, Murik's ward, who is unaware of her rightful inheritance. Murik's mistress, Mary Jane Mashkin, attempts to seduce Bond to uncover his true motives. Bond skillfully avoids compromising his mission while maintaining his cover.

Bond discovers Murik's plan to infiltrate six nuclear power plants worldwide, intending to cause simultaneous meltdowns. Murik believes this will expose the dangers of nuclear energy and force the world to abandon its use. Franco Oliveiro Quesocriado, a notorious terrorist leader, is revealed to be providing the manpower for the operation.

Bondem proves invaluable as Bond's ally, assisting in reconnaissance and saving Bond from an ambush by Murik's men. The car's anthropomorphic traits add humor and heart to the intense scenes. Bond uncovers that Lavender Peacock is the true heir to the Murik estate. He attempts to convince her of Murik's treachery, but she struggles to believe him due to her loyalty to Murik, who raised her.

Caber challenges Bond to a wrestling match to prove his loyalty. Bond uses cunning and underhanded tactics to win, further incurring Caber's hatred. Bond learns that Quesocriado has been tasked with assassinating Lavender to prevent her from claiming her inheritance and disrupting Murik's plans. Bond thwarts the assassination attempt, earning Lavender's trust.

Bond, with Lavender's help, plants explosives in Murik's reactor prototype to sabotage his demonstration. Meanwhile, Bondem engages in a high-speed chase with Murik’s men, showcasing his gadgets and ingenuity. The final showdown occurs at the castle, where Bond confronts Murik in a tense battle of wits and physical prowess. Murik attempts to escape but is foiled by Bondem, who traps him with a clever maneuver. Lavender publicly exposes Murik’s crimes, reclaiming her inheritance and dismantling his operation.

Bond returns home to his family, reflecting on the balance between his duties as a spy and his role as a husband and father. The Bond family shares a quiet moment, showing their unity despite Bond's dangerous life. At MI6, M commends Bond for his success but hints at another looming threat, setting up potential future adventures. The film ends with a lighthearted scene featuring Bondem, who cheekily requests a vacation after his "tireless" efforts during the mission.
