Mice Tales is a 2001 American animated adventure comedy film produced by Fox Feature Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The film was directed by Alan Perkins from a script written by Perkins, Jymn Magon, and Philip LaZebnik, based on a story by Randall McCormick, LaZebnik, and Drew Cohen. The voice cast features Michael J. Fox, Drew Barrymore, Bill Murray, Wayne Knight, Anthony Hopkins, James Woods, Hayden Panettiere, and Judi Dench.
The film follows a young mouse named Theodore who is separated from his group and must find his way back to the group while traveling through different countries of the world. Along the way, Theodore meets Tina, an adventurous mouse and a small friendly cat named Shawn, where they must escape from an evil predator wanting to eat the mice.
Mice Tales was released to theaters on November 21, 2001. It performed well at the box office, grossing $201 million on a $45 million budget. However, the film found larger success when it was released for home media. It received generally favorable reviews from critics, who praised the film's animation, voice cast, and the screenplay.

In 2000, James Horner was hired to provide score for the film. While in post production, Fox executive Tom Rothman decided to discard four of Horner's scores, instead relying on additional music from George Fenton.
