The Special Visitor is a 1989 American animated comedy short film produced by Gingo Productions and directed by Geo G. The three-minute short film follows a young boy (who would later become Gabriel Garza in Gingo's animated series of the same name) who stumbles upon a knocking door and tries to find out who it is.
The Special Visitor was the very first production of Gingo after Michael Wildshill and Geo G. left Hanna-Barbera. It was submitted to the National Film Board of Canada.

The short was first released at the National Film Board of Canada. For 11 years, the short never got a home media release. However, in 2000, the short was released as part of The Best of Gingo Animation. One year after, the short was aired on Gingo in the United Kingdom for the first time.
